The Sunlight Enterprise Software product is fully supported by the Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC 7000 series based on Supermicro SuperServer SYS-1029U-TN10RT board.
Server Board + Chassis
Supermicro SuperServer supports the latest 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors and AMD EPYC 7000 series. This board offers up to 6TB DDR4-2933MHz memory in 24 DIMMs slots, Intel Optane DC Persistent Memory capability, SAS 3.0/SATA 3.0/NVMe hot-swap HDD/SSD and PCI-E slots as well as 10GBase-T/10G SFP+ networking options.

The Dual Socket P supports 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors up to 28 cores and dual UPI up to 10.4GT/s.
AMD EPYC 7000 series
The AMD EPYC 7000 series 2-socket solution provides up to 2x 32 cores, 4 TB of memory support , and 128 lanes of PCIe connectivity.
Memory
Supermicro SuperServer offers up to 24 DIMMs RAM memory capacity and up to 6TB 3DS ECC DDR4‑2933 MHz RDIMM/LRDIMM. Also, it supports Intel Optane DCPMM.

The supported drive bays are the following :
- 6 NVMe ports (NVMe from CPU 1)
- 4 NVMe/SAS3 Hybrid ports with optional SAS3 (NVMe from CPU 2)

Note : In any case Sunlight customers can make Intel Xeon or AMD EPYC server compatible by adding an external 10GBit Intel NIC card (10Gtek-X540-T2-Controller-Converged-Network ) and attaching suitable NVMe storage drives either natively support on the Motherboard or via an HBA card (AOC-SLG3-4E4R ).
